Our Goal

My Anchor Foundation aims to promote growth and stability for individuals with developmental disabilities, by providing educational services to caregivers and family members. It is imperative to educate caregivers and family members on what each diagnosis entails, what to expect, what not to expect, and what resources and services they are eligible for. Educational services can take the form of advocacy resources, informative classes, family/individual sessions, as well as general information regarding how to prosper living with a developmental disability.

Educating Families

It can be stressful on a caregiver/family member to care for an individual with a developmental disability when they don’t even understand the disability itself. Because of this, we aim to provide educational services to better inform caregivers/ family members on specific diagnosis’, how to care for individuals with these diagnosis’, etc… These services can be provided at any point in the individuals’ life, whether you’ve just been diagnosed, or you’ve been living with your disability for over 20 years. It’s never too late to receive the help you need.
